He must not have much faith in the Brennans from st Patricks they are there a while now, I also thought Brian Kennedy was injured.

Heard Joe brennan is off the panel, our backs and midfield should be ok,fowards could struggle but there all experienced altho I would of liked to have seen keith hogan starting but I'm sure he'll get his chance, hopefully mark kelly can have another good league and Walter gets his form back,I'd like to see our six foams line out like this walsh, hogan, kelly, ruth, walter, farrell

To be fair I think we must be fairly stuck if we are resorting to Matthew Ruth again. His club form has hardly been that impressive and hes been given far to many chances to impress. Time to move on and give new lads their chance I think

That was a great performance from the whole team last night..jackie tyrrel was excellent and Tomas Leigh had a fine game in the other corner, Joyce led the defence well from cb..Geoff Brennan showed good flashes while lester Ryan also impressed along with Padraig Walsh, Wally, Kelly who had a great 2nd half while Farrell caused plenty of problems in the 1st half..be a tough game in nowlan park next week after seeing the dubs steamroll Tipp.

Great to get the win on saturday, really impressed with wally and mark Kelly, hope they can continue with the good form, john joe is honest and hard working while not being the most skillfull but we've seen with plenty of tipp fowards it's not all about skill, richie was just in a differant class than anyone else, tought joyce was outstanding and paul murphy improved as the game went on,probably caught out of position for the first goal but hopefully he'll grow into the no.3,overall great to get the win welcome the dubs to the park

Thought it was an excellent display by Kilkenny. Could have scored two goals. I was impressed with Geoff Brennan. Think he could turn into a fine hurler for Kilkenny. His use and distribution of the ball was excellent. Hope to see more of him throughout the league. Goid first start and roll on Sunday when we welcome the Dubs to Nowlan Park. The newly developed 'old stand' is open for the first time on Sunday.

That was one of the most impressive Kilkenny performances in an early league match since '09. While the scoreline flattered Cork in the end, 8 to 10 points wouldn't have been an unfair reflection of the game. I thought the workrate and the accuracy of the forwards was the most impressive element for me. I was surprised and I don't know why I was surprised that a Kilkenny team under Cody would go out with such hunger, more fool me. The Dublin game now will be a real cracker after their humiliation of Tipperary.

I thought the ref let cork back in the game a bit like what he did in the Waterford game two years ago gave a goal that should have been a free out and a couple of high tackles that went unpunished. People would like Darren Brennan to get a run I know murphy was in Auatralia for a while may be he is still a little rusty.
